New Song

So I was just getting my cell phone from upstairs, and while I was walking up the stairs all of a sudden I started singing, out loud, "Will you stand by me-e-e, whenever I am down," which actually happens to me a lot, so I kind of thought of the chorus while I was unplugging my cell phone and walking back down, then I made up the verses just of the top of my head, trying to go with the storyline, and now I have a song. :D If I TRY to write songs, they all end up sounding the same, but when I just go from when I randomly start singing stuff...
SO ANYWAY, without further ado, this is my new song as of about a minute ago, titled "Stand By Me".

KEY:
, = lowish note
- = middlish note
* = highish note
> = hold it 1 beat longer
When two symbols are right next to each other, imagine eighth notes. When there's a space between them, imagine quarter notes. I guess. Sorta. Lol.
(So now you can sort of sing along if you use your imagination a little. :D)

I don’t know
-- -
If you trust me when I say
/ -- * * -* -
I think I love you
/ / --- * *>
And I don’t know
/ --- -
If you would like it if I stayed
/ --- * * -* -
And I wonder if you, ooh
-- -- ** / ->

Will stand by me,
- - * -
Whenever I am down?
- ** - -- -
Will you stand by me,
* * - * -
Even when you wear the crown?
-- ** -- ---
Will you STAND by me,
-- * * -
Keep me warm, keep me safe?
-- * ** -
Just stand by me
- * * ---
And light up the whole word today
- - - - * *-, -,

I don’t know
-- -
If you are trustworthy
- -- ** ---
But I love you
-- * *>
And I don’t know
--- -
If you respect me
--- **
But I believe that
-- -**

You will stand by me,
- - * -
Whenever I am down.
- ** - -- -
You will stand by me,
* * - * -
Even when you wear the crown.
-- ** -- ---
Yes, you will STAND by me,
- - - * * *
Keep me warm, keep me safe.
-- * -- ,
Just stand by me
- - * --,
And light up the whole word today
- - * * - *-, -,
Light up the whole world today!
- * * - *-, -,
Light up the whole wo-o-orld, toooooday
-> * * - *>->, / / ->>,>>>>

The end. Hope you liked it...and...yeah....wooooooo for random songs...

Heehee. Failure.

So I was drawing on my markerboard last night, because I got bored and wanted to draw Skylar. And--lo and behold--I drew a REALLY GOOD one. As you can probably guess, that REALLY GOOD one is not the one up there (*pokes the pic with "FAIL" written underneath it*) So, yeah, that one failed. Go ahead, laugh; I know I did. I cracked up at myself cuz that drawing was so fail-tastic. But the other one, I swear, was amazing...especially for me, The Girl Who Can't Draw. But I'd think it was amazing ANYWAY.

But yeah, so that's your laugh of the day. Don't think you're laughing at me; you're laughing with me, and I'm probably laughing harder... :P

That's all for now. Just wanted you to see how badly I draw sometimes.
(At least the mouth is OK...but it's just a little slash-y thing...which 3-year-olds can--and do--draw. :D)

MEG and Me...

So I randomly decided to call Mr. Evil Guy "MEG" once today, and Rae totally got on the bus and loved it. And then she decided to draw Mr. Evil Guy and I...um, kissing, which may or may not happen, and she wrote "Meg <3 Emily" on it. Like, not "MEG", but "Meg". I was like "WTF RAE??? xDDDD"

Anyway. That's my random thing for today.

I've also found that Saint is hilariously funny, especially her Poetry Corner. And the Name Game.

Saint: You know who you can't play the Name Game with?
Fang: Do I wanna know?
Saint: Chuck Chuck bo Buck, Banana Fanna fo Fu--
Fang: We get it!
-a few more exchanges-
Saint: Can't do it with Mitch, either.

Anyway, yeah. Saint's awesome. She sang the McDonald's "Filet O' Fish" song, too, which I'd forgotten about...Made my day...OH. Here's a poem by her.

I suffer from crappy migraines
I hate them very much
When I have these stupid things
I am out of touch
Yeah, I know Max gets her headaches
But her's last for just a stitch
Mine last for hours and hours on end
And they hurt like a--

Fang: We get it.

Yup. She doesn't actually own Fang, but she apparently "kidnapped" him...so...ANYWAY. Saint rocks, and Meg's real name is NOT Meg. It's either Shane or Zane. Can't decide which right now. But I'm calling him Meg (when I'm not writing TT, that is. In TT he'll be Shane or Zane.)

Anyway...that's it. BYE!

To anyone who's taken the Mary Sue test...

...I just took it with a few characters.

I got 12 (I AM a wimp, stupid test, and I do poke fun at myself, but only because I think it's so pathetic that it's extremely funny. Anywayyyy...), Skylar got 29, and Edward (as in Cullen, yes, who is copyrighted Stephanie Meyer. I took the test because I despise him and thought that he was a Mary Sue when I read the first sentence about him [just for the record, yknow] in Twilight) got 154. No typo. One hundred and fifty four.
And the rubric says that over 50 or so is very, very bad, and that you should kill it dead and start over. Soooooo, bye-bye Edward.

Great job, Stephenie (THAT'S NOT HOW YOU SPELL IT. IT'S NOT). Great job.

Always There, by Brennan and Emily

Key:
Italic - lyrics
Bold - disclaimer
Normal - explanation
Bold, italic - the word "Key"

You go for a smile and you give me a laugh
Try for a tear and you cry on my lap
You're always there for me
You always will be, ooh-oh-ooh-oh-oh

Whenever I'm down, you make me smile
Try for a jog, and you run a few miles
You're always there for me, you always will be
Ooh-oh-ooh-oh-oh, yeah.

Sometimes I am a little too loud
A little too hyper, but you're always proud
You're always there for me, you always will be
||: Ooh-oh-ooh-oh-oh :||
||: Ooh-oh-ooh-oh-oh :|| oh.

When I screw up, when I'm just not okay
'N when my emotions are in disarray
You make everything go far away and you say
||: "I love you anyway" :|| anyway.

Well, you go for a smile, and you give me a laugh
Try for a tear and you cry on my lap
You're always there for me, you always will be
Ooh-oh-ooh-oh-oh, woah!

You go for a smile and you give me a laugh
Try for a tear and you cry on my lap
You're always there for me; you always will be
Yeah, you're always there for me; you always will be
You're always there for me, and always will be

These lyrics are completely, 100% copyrighted me and Brennan, and the music (which I'm SO not typing up for you) is also copyrighted to our band, Golden Hour. Don't steal, or I'll come find you and kill you slowly and painfully. We worked really, really hard on this, and it's not nice to steal and/or be mean.

So, my new friend Brennan and I wrote these lyrics, as I said, this week at band camp...and it was pretty sweet. This is by far our favorite song, and we totally opened the show (of 6 bands) with it. Yep. That's right. We were the opening band. xD AAAANYWAY, yeah. Just randomly make up a tune for it, but I'm pretty sure you'll never succeed in getting the actual tune...or else I'll be really surprised...but yeah.

Peace out, home skittles!

Future, by Rosalie and Emily

NOTE: Look at the stuff in the post above this for more info.
ALSO: When it's italic and underlined, it's something that happens. And when it's in parenthesis, it's something that the backup singer for that moment would sing. Like if I was doing that part of the song as lead, then Brennan or Rosie would sing the "backup singer" part.
This is by Rosalie/Rosie (THIS WAS BEFORE TWILIGHT, REMEMBER) and I, called Future, Living in the Future, The Future, React, a lot of stuff. It's probably the second-best song we wrote. It's pretty cool.

Ooh, I'm living in the future all the time
Nothing but the future's on my mind
I won't slow down, I won't go back
Since I am here I must react

Waiting for something to happen (to me)
Changing, changing so suddenly (suddenly)

Living in the future all the time
Nothing but the future's on my mind
I won't slow down, I won't go back
Since I am here I must react

(guitar solo)

Waiting for a distraction (from this)
Aching feeling I have about it (everything)

Living in the future all the time
Nothing but the future's on my mind
I won't slow down, I won't go back
Since I am here I must react

||: ||: Must react, must react
(Changing...waiting...aching...) :|| :||

(awesome bleepy thing on the keys)

Gumball Rain, by the whole band (Brennan, Rosalie, Bailey, Maria, and Emily)

So all of us actually wrote this song, because we were feeling extremely hyper that day and felt like writing a song about gumballs raining from the sky.
Bailey: Dude, I want some gum. Like really bad.
Maria: Me too.
Brennan: Yeah, me too. Weirdly, I want gumballs.
Us: *at a loss for a topic for a new song*
Me: Let's totally write a song about gumballs.
Us: *laugh*
Bailey: No, we seriously should.
Rosalie: About...*listens to the rain*
Brennan: Umm...
Bailey: About gumballs RAINING FROM THE SKY.

Anyway, here's the song that we ended up with, after a little bit of trepidation, Gumball Rain.

(BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM)

Maria: Do you guys hear that?
Me, sarcastically: No, we don't hear it.
Maria: You don't have to be sarcastic or anything.
Brennan: Yeah, ok, we hear it. What IS it?
Maria: I don't know!
Us: *look back at the big-screen*
Big-screen: *shows gumballs falling down*
Maria: Ohmygod, it's raining gumballs!

(music starts)

It's raining gumballs!
GUM. BALL. RAIN.
It's raining gumballs!
GUM. BALL. RAIN.
Guuuumbaaaall raaaaiiin.

They are round, they are small
Lots of flavors, try them all!
You can get 'em at the mall,
You can get 'em when you fall.

It's raining gumballs!
GUM. BALL. RAIN.
It's raining gumballs!
GUM. BALL. RAIN.
Guuuumbaaaall raaaaiiin.

They are red, they are orange
They are yellow, green, and blue
They are black, they are white
And pink and purple too

It's raining gumballs!
GUM. BALL. RAIN.
It's raining gumballs!
GUM. BALL. RAIN.
Guuuumm (aka: nothing is supposed to be here, but we always screw up and do that before we realize that hey, we weren't supposed to sing anything.)

(boom boom clap, boom boom clap)
Maria: Okay everybody, put your hands together!
Me: When we say "gumball", you say "rain"!
Gumball (rain)
Gumball (rain)
Gumball (rain)
Gumball (rain)

(drum fill)

It's raining gumballs! (meanwhile audience goes, "Gumball rain")
GUM. BALL. RAIN. (audience too)
It's raining gumballs! (meanwhile, "Gumball rain")
GUM. BALL. RAIN. (audience too)
Guuuuuuuumbaaaaaaaaaaall raaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiin. (audience goes "Gumball--oh")

I know I posted yesterday...

...but, also yesterday, I went to Cirque du Soleil on half-priced tickets from my circus, along with Madison and Shaye (who's on a different trap). It was super amazing and awesome. :D
Some highlights:

- There was a Wheel of Death, chair-stacking(one of my faves), sns unicycling, some EPIC contortion, and (definitely the funniest of the show,) a pickpocket. There were also clowns, of course, and a storyline and whatever. Amazing!!! I love the Wheel of Death, especially the Soleil version of it. They always do some craaazy things.
- The contortion people were...not even gonna talk about it in-depth. I swear to god they had no vertebrae in their backs. It was really creepy.
- I wore my Cirque Juventas shirt there, and the performers were all giving me compliments and stuff. It was pretty sweet. When I walked into the first tent, one of the German Swing people came up to me and asked me about triple. I was like "...:D:D:D:D." But yeah. Cool stuff.
- During the clowning act, Shaye (who was sitting right next to me) started like screaming kind of quietly, randomly, and I looked over to see her chair rising into the air, on a metal pole thing. Then the spotlight came on her and everyone started like spazzing out. SO funny. She was laughing her head off, and so was I.
- Aaaaaaaaaand I forgot what else I was going to say.
- I'm going to Wizard of Oz today...which won't be nearly as awesome as Cirque du Soleil, of course, but still.

Dream

Because I feel like it, that's why.

So I go outside with a radio and I tie it to this huge balloon, and then let it go playing “Soaring” from High School Musical. It’s floating up and away when all of a sudden I see this other balloon descending, so I wait and see what it is. Beneath the balloon is a basket with a bunch of peeps and chocolate, as well as some apple sauce (I know, random).

I take it inside, wondering why I got a huge basket of junk food and apple sauce, and took it up to my room to go through it without my family seeing it, in case there was something inside that only I should see (Again, I don’t know).

When I got to my bedroom door, there were about 30 more baskets sitting there. My mom came out of her room just after I’d set my basket down, and looked at the other ones. “They were just sitting in a pile at the garage door, with balloons tied to them. I don’t know what they are, but the chocolate’s still good, so… I don’t know, maybe it’s some sort of…um…”

“Yeah…I found one when I was outside. It was coming down from the sky like the balloon had been floating for a while, and it went right into the garage door, so I took it inside.” I went through the other baskets and found that they were all filled with chocolate, peeps, apple sauce, gum, and all sorts of other foods, mostly junk.

“Why would someone send us all this stuff?” I asked. And then I woke up.

I just haven't posted for about (OK, exactly) a week, so I figured I'd post about something, and I had that weird dream last night, so I posted about it.

(A QUICK NOTE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW ME VERY WELL: I hate peeps. I hate peeps. I hate them I hate them I hate them I hate them I hate them. Just saying, so chocolate, apple sauce, and peeps aren't like my three favorite foods or anything. Chocolate, root beer, and orange Tic-Tacs [or steak, instead of the Tic-Tacs] are probably my favorites.)

We call it Elk River, Elk River, Elk River, Elk River, Elk...

And speaking of awesome, "Captain Awesome" was there this week. So was "Redd". So was "Miley". So was "Andi". So was Cam (YAY!). So was (Cait)Lin. So were other people that I'd never met before (especially Megan, who had my horse too.)
Speaking of my horsie, she was so hyper.
SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOOO hyper. She walked when we were supposed to be still, trotted when we were walking, loped when we were trotting, and cantered when we were loping. But she was soooo pretty, even though my weird digital camera (which was $10 at Walgreens, which explains its nonexistent memory) ran out of memory space before I could get pics. Hopefully my mom got some, though. She probably did.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, her name was Denali, which is a majorly cool name (I think, anyway). She's a sorrel chestnut, which is my SECOND favorite kind of horse (bays kick butt though. xD), and stuff. But yeah...I'll post more on the River later, because I'm lazy and don't want to right now. Hahaha.
